The covered entity (CE), East Brunswick Open Upright MRI, reported that it experienced a cybersecurity incident that compromised the protected health information of 12,151 individuals. During the course of the investigation, OCR leaned that the entity was no longer in business. After review, it was determined that the entity was no longer a CE under the HIPAA Rules and therefore, the case was closed.
